What I found is that its really not the leather causing the problem, its the 30 year old foam underneath. I highly recommend installing Dynamat underneath the carpet. The factory bolts were like butter. The rest all get glued down after being trimmed to fit.

Carpet kit MAP S4 Does anyone have a carpet kit MAP? When i purchased my car it came with a box of carpet with no instructions. While i have installed several kits on 's , i have never attempted to install a new set on a I normally can match up the carpet pieces, but its nice to lay out the pieces on the floor per the map. I have no clue where the kit came from because the box was not in the original box.

IIRC there about 25 pieces of carpet, its a fun job! Find More Posts by Mrmerlin. The first time is really fun. It gets easier after a few. I highly recommend installing Dynamat underneath the carpet. It's well worth the cost and effort in my opinion. Find More Posts by mcholdfast. I did mine without a map; it's not too difficult. Just figure out where the big pieces go first and then the little ones will come naturally.

Needs to be on something flat to see the shape as well. Last two are for the floor behind the seats. Those and the ones for the floor of the front seats are removable for cleaning. The rest all get glued down after being trimmed to fit.

The ones with the edges shouldn't be cut, the rest probably will be too large and should be cut to fit. They could also be for the back of the rear seats, I'm not sure since I can't tell how large they are. I used spray on and there were a few places where I had to go back over it with adhesive remover to get the aerosolized particles out of the carpet. Also needed to keep the overspray off of the rest of the interior.

Keep plenty of disposable gloves and a can or two of adhesive remover handy. I used at least one pair of gloves for every single piece of carpet. Once you get any glue or anything on them you need to throw them away and get new. Extra time and care at this point will prevent any messes that could potentially be a PITA later.
